Hospitals know the need for beds to be adjustable. All things considered, patients need to be treated in those medical centers for many varieties of problems. It might be some matter of shock, like a physical injury or anything like that, or perhaps it could be healing from a surgical procedure. Often its merely a matter of keeping the patient as comfortable as is possible.

The point being that laying on your back, flat and out, is sometimes not the best thing for you. Adjustable beds are the solution in these cases.
